Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you book a service from UX Untangled, a UX and information architecture practice run by Kyris Leung, a sole trader based in Sydney, Australia (ABN 63 415 158 302). By booking or paying, you agree to them. In these terms, “I” and “me” mean UX Untangled, and “you” means the person or business booking.

What I Provide

  • Page Review ($400): a written review of one page or flow.
  • Structure Audit ($2,500): a written review of how your whole site is organised, with problems ranked and a path forward.
  • Site Restructure (quoted, from $6,500): a new structure for your site, including navigation, labels and page structure, a tree test with real people, and a written check once it’s built. The scope, price and timing are set out in your quote.

Everything is delivered in writing. No calls are needed.

What Isn’t Included

I provide the plan: structure, navigation and labels. Unless your quote says otherwise, these aren’t included:

  • Visual design or interface design
  • Building, coding or changing your website
  • Writing your site’s content
  • Hosting, search engine rankings or ongoing maintenance

Your designer or developer builds the changes. I’m happy to work alongside them.

Prices And Payment

  • Prices are in Australian dollars. I’m not registered for GST, so no GST is charged.
  • The Page Review and Structure Audit are paid in full when you book, through Stripe.
  • For a Site Restructure, the payment schedule is set out in your quote. A quote is valid for 30 days.

Credits

  • A Page Review fee is credited in full toward a Structure Audit booked within one month of receiving your Page Review.
  • A Structure Audit fee is credited in full toward a Site Restructure quote accepted within one month of receiving your Structure Audit.
  • Each credit can be used once, only by the business that paid for it, and has no cash value.

Timing

  • Page Review and Structure Audit: I confirm your delivery date when you book.
  • Site Restructure: the timeline set out in your quote.

Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. I work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (Sydney time), not counting public holidays. If anything changes the timing, I’ll tell you as soon as I know.

What I Need From You

  • Accurate information about your site and what you want to fix
  • Access to anything that isn’t public, if the work needs it
  • Replies to my questions within a reasonable time

You confirm you have the right to share anything you send me.

Cancellations And Refunds

  • Before I start: cancel for any reason and I’ll refund you in full.
  • If a different service turns out to fit: the work itself is what shows this, so I finish what you booked, tell you what I found, and put your fee toward the service that fits.
  • Once work has started: I don’t offer refunds for a change of mind. For a Site Restructure, your quote sets out what’s payable if the project stops partway.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a service isn’t delivered with due care and skill, you may be entitled to have it fixed or to a refund.

Results

My recommendations are based on professional judgement and, where included, testing with real people. Because other people build and run your site, I can’t guarantee specific results such as more enquiries or sales.

Using The Work

Once you’ve paid, you can use everything I deliver for your business however you like, including sharing it with your designer or developer. I keep the right to use my own methods and templates in other work. I’ll only show your project in my portfolio with your permission.

Confidentiality

I keep your private information, files and access confidential and use them only for your project. My Privacy Policy explains how I handle personal information.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, my total liability for any service is limited to the fee you paid for it, and I’m not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits. This doesn’t affect any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t be excluded.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. If I update them, the version on this page when you book is the one that applies to your booking.
