Privacy Policy

UX Untangled is a UX and information architecture practice run by Kyris Leung, a sole trader based in Sydney, Australia (ABN 63 415 158 302). This page explains what personal information I collect, why, and what I do with it. In this policy, “I” and “me” mean UX Untangled.

What I Collect

• What you send me. Your name, email address, your site’s address and your message, when you use the contact form or email me.
• Booking and payment details. When you pay, Stripe processes the payment. I receive your name, email address and what you paid for. I never see or store your card details.
• Access you give me. If you share access to something that isn’t public (a staging site, analytics, a shared folder), I use it only for your project.
• Basic technical data. My hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and working.

This site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, I’ll update this page first.

How I Use It

• To reply to you and to do the work you booked
• To send you what you paid for, and receipts or invoices
• To keep the business records the law requires

I won’t add you to a mailing list or send you marketing without asking first.

Who I Share It With

I never sell or rent your information. I only share it with the services I use to run the business, and only as far as they need:

• Stripe, to take payments
• My website host, which runs this site and its contact form
• My email provider, which carries our messages
• A testing tool, for Site Restructure projects that include a tree test. Test participants see your site’s menu structure, not your personal details.

Some of these services store data outside Australia, including in the United States. I choose providers that protect personal information to a standard similar to Australia’s.

Keeping It Safe

I keep your information in secure, password-protected accounts that only I can access. Please don’t send passwords by email: if a project needs a login, I’ll suggest a safer way to share it.

How Long I Keep It

I keep messages and project files for as long as they’re useful for your project and any follow-up work. Records of payments are kept for five years, as Australian tax law requires. Anything shared with me for a project (such as logins or private files) is deleted when the project ends.

Your Choices

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted (except records I must keep by law). Email kyris@uxuntangled.com and I’ll reply within 30 days.

If you have a concern about how I’ve handled your information, email me first so I can put it right. If you’re not satisfied with my response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes To This Policy

If I change how I handle personal information, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
